Bathing water in Argyll and Bute, Scotland

Argyll and Bute has four bathing waters on the regulators’ lists: three on the coast and one on a lake. In 2025 two were rated Excellent and two Good. Scottish Water has ten monitored storm overflows within 5 km of them. One of them has no monitored overflow nearby, so rainfall is the only warning it has ahead of a spill.
